How it is made: Comfort Colors 6014 long sleeve

Step one is dye. On the Comfort Colors 6014, the fabric is dyed before it's cut — the shade is set while the material is still whole, and every panel is cut from cloth that already carries its color. That sequence matters: the tone belongs to the fabric itself rather than being applied to a finished shirt.

Step two is construction. Those dyed panels get cut and sewn into the long sleeve — body, sleeves, collar, cuffs, all built from material that went through color first.

Step three is the embroidery, and it's intentionally last. Because the mark is stitched after dyeing, the thread never runs through the dye — it's applied to the completed garment, holding the color it was made with. Placement stays minimal by design: one mark, left chest, nothing anywhere else on the shirt.
